Live Show Updates

I did go to the live show and had a BLAST.  I know I don't post on here very often, but it doesn't really matter...(I must admit, not a lot of people follow this blog.)  I'll try to be more consistent, but if I can't find the time for it, it just might become another one of the many abandoned blogs on this server.  I want to actually follow through on SOMETHING I start so....
I'm going to be broadening my horizens: cutting down on the Model Info and just posting about whatever I find interesting and model horse related. I'll get on a schedule of maybe one to two times a week so you have 'something' (air quotes for a reason) to look forward to in our horrible, dreary lives ;) (joke, don't kill me!)
I'm on YouTube a lot more frequently instead of on here, so if you want normal updates, go there.
I'm schleichlover135 on there.
More Breyer/Stone model stuff coming on here too.  I have a story I need to tell later anyways about collecting and shtuff.

Adios Amigas!  (or amigos, I don't judge ;)

Live Show?

I'm going to my first live model horse show in less than two weeks!  I'm taking breyers as well as schleich models.  It is the carolina gold classic, if you want to check out the website: www.carolinagoldclassic.webs.com
I'm going to have so much fun, and hopefully bring home a couple of ribbons (maybe?)
I know Taylor Ouzts (limitededitiongal), Natalie Sherard (StockHorseAddict), Maggie Bennett (Famous Sculptor), and Erika Isbell (xVampireBreyerGalx).
Customs and models will be purchased!  To see them, I might post the pictures here, but there will definitely be a video on YouTube about it!

Wish me luck!!

Who is schleichlover135????

Yeah... so it is the same person, but it kept getting harder to switch accounts to post on here that I just made another one and started writing!  I hope that clears up any confusion.  There is no alter ego I have that needs a seperate account... LOL.

PS....  Does anyone know where to buy/find cheap-ish Peter Stones?  All the ones I have seen are over $100, which is a bit to pricy for me...

Model Info #5

Shakespeare~My Dartmoor Pony Stallion

Family: Dartmoor Mare and Foal
Brand: Schleich

Real Life Dartmoor Stallion

Height: 11.1 - 12.2 hh

Description: (from the Schleich website) Dartmoor ponies are a unique breed, always open to improving via new bloodlines. Measuring about four feet, their small stature made them suitable for working in mines. When the mines closed, they were free to roam. Having been domesticated, they were set free. After living in the moors of the south of England, these ponies are tough and strong. Picking up side jobs of escorting prisoners, Dartmoors are well-mannered and dependable. These qualities make them an excellent choice for a child's mount, or even an adult's.
